We are seeking a high-calibre IT Project Manager for a business-critical, 12-month fixed-term contract with a great Australian manufacturing company. Based in Melbourne's inner northern suburbs, this role requires a leader who thrives in a fast-paced, industrial environment and understands the nuances of ERP implementations.
As the IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of this complex ERP implementation. The Vendor is directly responsible for the implementation but you will be the bridge between them and the business ensuring the delivered solution is fit-for-purpose, on time, and within budget.
Key Details:
Term: 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC).
Team Structure: This is an individual contributor role. You will have no direct reports or internal resources to manage, allowing you to focus entirely on project delivery and vendor performance.
Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external partners and consultants. You will be responsible for holding vendors accountable, ensuring they deliver to a high standard, and meeting all contractual milestones.
Project Governance: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management.
Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify technical and operational bottlenecks. You will be expected to eliminate risks before they impact the critical path.
Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with internal department heads (Supply Chain, Finance, Production) to align the ERP functionality with business requirements.
You are a seasoned Project Manager who doesn't mind "getting on the floor" to understand how the business operates. You are a specialist in managing external partnerships and ensuring third-party delivery stays on track.
Requirements:
ERP Expertise: Proven track record of leading successful ERP implementations
Vendor Management: Demonstrated success in managing large-scale vendors and holding them to high delivery standards.
Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of systems integration, data migration, and UAT processes.
Resilience: A proactive approach to identifying and eliminating project risks independently.
Reliability: Ability to commit to the on-site requirements in the northern suburbs.
A great opportunity to be a part of a legacy-building project for a great Australian company. You will have the autonomy to drive a massive piece of transformation that will define the company’s operational efficiency for the next decade, without the administrative burden of people management.
At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all. We actively encourage applications from any background.
